Instead of the standard B5 size, the MD Letter Pad is designed in our own unique size.

We believe that this is the perfect size to provide comfort when writing letters. We calculated the average handwriting size used by Japanese people when writing letters, and ruled the lines at just the right length for natural line breaks.

The lines are spaced wide enough for you to write comfortably and with ease, with plenty of blank space around them to make your finished letter look neat and beautiful.

The lines themselves are a refined light gray that will provide a guide for your writing without being too obtrusive.

When you fold your letter paper into three to fit in the envelope, it’s difficult to judge where you need to fold.

The Vertically ruled MD Letter Pad has tiny perforations in two of the ruled lines across the page, showing just the right position to fold your letter into three.

This is just another of our innovations to make writing that little bit easier.

MD Envelope is made from two layers of MD Paper to provide our time-honored writing comfort while still being thick enough to keep your writing private.
