J Herbin launched the Ink Bottle to commemorate Marie-Antoinette, last queen of France, who harbored a true passion for writing. The J. Herbin Check Ink Bottle is a 50ml glass "chest" bottle filled with J. Herbin Rose Cyclamen ink. All the seals on the top of the bottle as well as in the center are hand-made in Paris individually and the middle seal consist of Marie-Antoinette letters M and A.
From the beginning, J. Herbin distinguished itself from its competitors by offering a wide range of colors for the fountain pen inks. The names chosen for each color are very poetic to preserve the originality of the brand and as a French tradition.
J. Herbin is the oldest name in ink production in the world.
